Drop everything – in a toast to Aussie resilience, everybody’s favourite food-coma-inducing all-you-can-eat noshery Sizzler is giving out free cheese toast this Saturday August 1. Yes – free.cheese.toast.

As a way to say thanks to locals and raise funds for community groups, Sizzler’s A Toast to Our Mates – Cheese Toast for a Cause will see all Queensland venues (including Mermaid Beach and Loganholme) sling serves of its famed cheese toast to passersby – no dine-in required! While it’s technically free, you’re encouraged to drop a small gold-coin donation in exchange for your hit of deliciously cheesy, soft and slightly crispy cheese toast. All funds raised will go local community groups – Sizzler’s way of ‘giving back to its mates’. So grab your cheesiest pals, raid your car’s ashtray and load on up all of the cheese toast (for a great cause) this Saturday.

The event runs from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, and there will also be prizes and giveaways on the day.
