Beach merchants Sunhouse Surf hold a small local market in the car park once a month. The Foragers Fair Market Day sees local businesses and crafty folk bring down some goods to sell, stand around in the sun, drink coffee or beer, have a good chat, and maybe pick up a bargain or two. Regular store holders include Von Weirdo with vintage surf fashion, memorabilia and boards stacked up around his Valiant Safari wagon. Garry from Motorcycle Music in Cooly brings his vintage instruments down. John the Farmer with his organic fruit and veg straight from his farm in Murwillimbah sets up in the back of his old Land Rover, and other locals turn up with vintage fashion, home made food, drinks and other goods. There is generally some ultra-cool, indie local band entertaining the crowds as well.
