Fish out of Water created by ERTH Visual & Physical Inc. is a major new commission by Bleach* Festival. ERTH is one of Australia’s foremost contemporary performance companies and creators of the world famous ERTH’s Dinosaur Zoo, seen at last year’s Bleach* at Paradise Point.

The mullet was chosen because, not only is it a fish that is plentiful on the Gold Coast, it has cultural significance to the traditional owners associated with the Gold Coast region and extended coast line areas. The spectacular ten metre mullet is skilfully operated by nine puppeteers.

The mullet will begin its journey on March 6 at 4:15 pm, and will then begin ts 17 day Bleach* Festival journey across the Gold Coast and Hinterland, where Fish Out of Water will make new friends and enchant all those that witness the spectacle of its presence.
