Sometimes, the most meaningful experiences come from pushing outside of your comfort zones. If you’ve never participated in a life drawing class or are looking for a fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon, consider this your official invitation. Hosted by the amazingly talented local artist Rebecca Cunningham, HOTA’s life drawing class is not your average arvo activity. Combining live music and drawing to inspire creativity and allow participants to surrender their surroundings, the class will step you through how to draw the human figure in a fun, relaxed and supportive environment. The result is guaranteed to be a thing of beauty.

Models, live music, and basic art materials are provided so all you have to do is show up with an open mind. All are welcome – whether you’ve drawn for decades, or never picked up charcoal in your life. Come along and give it a try!

There will be some snacks and light meals available for purchase including pizzas, chips, cheese boxes and of course, a choice of beverages for a little Dutch courage (if required). Presented as part of HOTA’s Fireside Program, the event is supported by the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland.
