Celebrate the best of classical music with a range of ticketed and free events. There’s everything from Maestro information sessions, free lunchtime concerts and performances from some of Australia’s leading musicians.

Fiesta de la Musica is an extraordinary program this year, featuring local professional musicians and companies programmed alongside interstate guest artists and presenters.

Local professional musicians get to shine and our Gold Coast community is able to to participate in operatic and instrumental activities. Guests gain a deeper understanding of how music is created, perform with guests artists and enjoy quality performances. For our young musicians there are opportunities to be mentored in composition and performance and to perform for our community.

Fiesta de la Musica also supports our local music groups including the Australian Society of Keyboard Music (ASKM), Music Teachers Association of Queensland (MTAQ), The Gold Coast City Choir and the Gold Coast Choir, a fantastic children’s choir.

In Fiesta de la Musica, Benjamin Martin, a graduate of the prestigious Julliard School of Music, New York and now world renowned pianist and composer will present a lecture on composing in partnership with the Win Schubert and Josephine Ulrick Photography Award and Gold Coast City Gallery. He will also present a master-class for local piano players and teachers and a performance showcasing his skills and talent.

Professional companies, Opera Queensland, Queensland Ballet and the Australian Chamber Orchestra will be involved with wonderful performances and extras such as active workshops and learning opportunities for the Gold Coast community.

Many of the events will be free, others at low participation costs and all will be presented in The Arts Centre Gold Coast venues.
