ENERGIES 2017

ENERGIES 2017

A snapshot of the current social, emotional and global views held by young people on the Gold Coast.

The ENERGIES 2017 exhibition showcases works of art by more than 80 talented senior secondary school students from across the Gold Coast. Existing in some form for over 30 years, ENERGIES compiles a dynamic range of works across varying forms of artistic media: from traditional paintings, to video installations, to textile creations.

While it is important to acknowledge the youth of the artists, the exhibition appeals to audiences of all ages, and engages with thought provoking subject matter, relating to themes such as human existence and self-identity.

ENERGIES is a non-competitive event, and instead aims to promote the place of visual art in secondary school education.

Presented in partnership with Gold Coast City Gallery and Gold Coast Senior Visual Arts Educators.
