Empty Bowls at Dust Temple

Empty Bowls at Dust Temple

On September 14, head over to Dust Temple to take part in Empty Bowls for an evening of local food and charity fundraising with the community. The Empty Bowls Project is an international grassroots effort to raise both money and awareness in the fight to end hunger. The mission is to create positive and lasting change through the arts, education and projects that build community.

Empty Bowls allows potters to create and donate bowls, then serve a simple meal donated by a local restaurant. Guests choose a bowl to use that day and to keep as a reminder of all the empty bowls in the world. In exchange for the meal and the bowl, guests contribute a donation to support local hunger-fighting organisations.

This year, the project is raising funds for is Agape Outreach Inc, a local charity that does an amazing job serving the homeless and hungry in the community.
