We are thrilled this year to be able to welcome some artists from The Tourism Confucius Institute (TCI) at Griffith University. TCI artists will be offering interactive activities – calligraphy, brush painting, and Beijing Opera mask painting – free of charge to visitors to our Art Show on April 18 and 19.

There is also a Children’s Section. This is divided into two age groups, 8 years and underand 12 years and under. The theme for children’s entries is “All Things Bright and Beautiful”.

On the Friday night, the Art Show begins with our “Arty Party” at 7pm. There is a small charge for this event ($5 for exhibiting artists, $10 for others). This includes wine and cheese and a light home-made supper. There is no charge for children attending the Arty Party. Our own “Grace Notes” choir will sing at the presentation of awards.

Entry to the Show on Saturday and Sunday is free. Light refreshments, home-made, will be available. Artists will be demonstrating their skill. Cooinda Place, a permanent meeting place at our church, will be open too. Cooinda sells a wide variety of local craft.

Exhibition hours are 10:30am – 4pm.
