The quietly evolving art scene in Currumbin has been growing for a while now, and now there’s a dedicated festival to celebrate it! Say hello to Creekfest presented by Soundlounge, a brand-new artist program that’s coming to the coast from June 25 to 27. Perched on the banks of the special spot that is Currumbin Creek (near Currumbin RSL), Creekfest’s all-ages program will showcase 20 live performances across two stages for the whole community’s enjoyment. A line-up of exciting artists is the hilight of the weekend festival, which will include emerging high school students, local artists and established national acts such as Bobby Alu, Jack Botts and Karl S Williams – plus, a break dance world qualifier.
