Coming into Fashion: A Century of Photography at Condé Nast celebrates some of the most iconic images from the past century of fashion. Conde Nast, the powerhouse publisher of Vogue, Vanity Fair and Glamour, has opened its photography archive to the public to create this stunning exhibition.

Glamorous, provocative, beautiful, accomplished and magical – fashion imagery has always been associated with some of the most famous names in the history of photography. The collection of images, selected by photography curator Nathalie Herschdorfer, show the sharp contrast in the first fashion photographs from the early 20th century compared to the modern day.

Produced by the Foundation for the Exhibition of Photography the exhibition includes work by Cecil Beaton, Irving Penn, Helmut Newton, Herb Ritts, Mario Testino, Horst P. Horst, Erwin Blumenfeld, David Bailey, Guy Bourdin, Corinne Day, Deborah Turbeville and Sølve Sundsbø.

Also included in the exhibition is a selection of vintage couture fashion from The Darnell Collection – Australia’s largest private collection of fashion from the late 1700s to the 20th century. An exciting array of public programs will accompany the exhibition including guest talks, workshops and master classes.
