Christmas Day reveals two distinct celebrations at InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort. Choose from traditional lunch or dinner buffets inside Macarthur’s Ballroom, or keep it more intimate with signature four-course menus inside The Fireplace. Which Christmas Day celebration will you choose?

Christmas Day in McArthur’s Ballroom
Experience five-star buffet cuisine in a luxury ballroom setting from 12:00–3:00 pm with the Premium Beverage Package, gifting bottomless glasses of Chandon NV Brut, Australian wines and a range of beer choices on Christmas Day. Along with the Premium Beverage Package, the Christmas lunch includes a carvery selection, featuring cranberry-glazed roast turkey, baked ham with charred nectarines and roast beef leg with gigantic Yorkshire puddings, complemented by fresh salads, seafood, antipasti and of course, an incredibly decadent festive-themed dessert display. Tickets include a three-hour premium beverage package and face painting and a special gift from Santa Claus for children.

If you would prefer an evening celebration, head over for a sparkling Christmas dinner buffet inside Macarthur’s Ballroom from 5:30–8:30 pm. Traditional festive favourites and carvery dishes will be paired with a fresh Australian seafood selection of oysters, mussels, prawns and more. Whilst enjoying live entertainment and tucking into savoury Christmas gems, unwrap a range of sweet surprises with festive-themed desserts, including fruit mince pies, chocolate yule log, strawberry Santas and an interactive ice-cream station.

Celebrate Christmas Day inside InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort’s signature restaurant, The Fireplace, from 12:30–3:30 pm. Indulge in Executive Chef Matt Hart’s festive-inspired four-course menu alongside sparkling flutes of Moët & Chandon Champagne. Entrees include duck breast with aromatic lavender, followed by Laphroaig Whiskey-cured Tasmanian salmon and a luxe festive intermezzo of tangerine sorbet with cranberries.

Mains infuse Christmas traditions with The Fireplace’s signature wood-fire style, serving up beef tenderloin with signature trimmings, including Brussel sprouts and port wine jus. The experience is sweetened by the inclusion of a flowing Premium Beverage Package and the final dish on the menu: gingerbread trifle served with brandy cream, cherries and mince pie infused ice cream.
