Boom Crash Opera and Machinations at CBD Live

This year is proving to be huge for Boom Crash Opera. Not only is it a celebration of the 30th anniversary of the These Here Are Crazy Times album, Boom Crash Opera is also welcoming its founding member and original lead singer, Dale Ryder, back onto the microphone in time to celebrate this milestone in the band’s history. The newly reunited band will also be joined by Machinations for a select series of shows across the country.

It has been three-decades since some of Australia’s finest pop-rock tunes were all bundled into one album that just kept delivering single after single, including the five huge radio hits ‘Onion Skin’, ‘The Best Thing’, ‘Get Out of the House’, ‘ Talk About it’ and ‘Dancing in the Storm’. These songs formed part of a vibrant moment in radio when Aussie music dominated and Boom Crash Opera was the pioneer of cultivating powerfully catchy and infectious tunes.

Machinations were one of the most-loved post-punk bands of the 1980s, with its danceable and cerebral hits, helium driven guitars and booming funky bass, it had something for everyone. With songs like ‘Precious Way’’, No Say in it’, ‘You Got Me Going Again’, ‘My Heart’s on Fire’ and ‘Do to You’, this musical match with buddies Boom Crash Opera will have live music lovers dancing up a storm!
