On August 19, the Paddock stage is coming to life with the blues. Blues in the Night will feature a hand-picked lineup of the best blues bands in South East Queensland. You will be transported to the steamy Mississippi bayou, to Beale Street in Memphis or the clubs of Chicago. From unbridled joy to deep sadness, no form of music communicates more genuine emotion than the Blues. Hear authentic renditions of Blues classics, melancholy refrains, improvisation, walking bass, harmonica, guitar riffs and toe tapping beats.

Phil Barlow and The Wolf are an Australian band dishing out a musical feast of gritty, growling notes and tones, hooky rock riffs and flavours of funk that will have you literally howling for more.

Mojo Webb has been described as a purveyor of some of the sharpest blues, both electric and acoustic, that can be found in Australia. His vocal is reminiscent of Delta bluesmen of old. He plays bass, drums, sax, harmonica… and of course, the wailing blues guitar.
