Be Our Guest at QT Gold Coast
QT Gold Coast is bringing new meaning to the paddock-to-plate concept this year with its Be Our Guest initiative that is supporting local farmers from the region. The hotel is hosting an intimate experience at its Bazaar Marketplace, which will not only feature produce from carefully selected local producers but showcase their flavours in a carefully curated five-course meal. While indulging in the dining experience and authentic flavours of the event, guests will have a chance to discover the farmers’ stories and hear about their experiences and farming ethos.
The first event of the series will feature the sixth-generation Scenic Rim-based Tommerup’s Dairy Farm. Tommerup’s Dairy farmers Kay and Dave have triumphed after suffering through drought and bushfires, and now provide ethically farmed products with a focus on sustainable farming practices. On February 28, their produce will be featured in the first instalment of the Be Our Guest series, to be experienced by a limited number of lucky diners. The menu includes a braised and smoked ham hock and a vanilla-infused apricot terrine with house-made fruit chutney, damper rolls with Tommerup’s cultured butter and pork three ways, served with sides featuring Scenic Rim produce.
Be Our Guest: Tommerup’s Dairy Farm takes place on Sunday February 28 at 12:00 pm at Bazaar Marketplace, QT Gold Coast. Tickets are $135 per person and QT Gold Coast will donate five percent of the ticket price to Drought Relief. For more information and to secure your ticket, head here.
