World-renowned chef, author and much-loved foodie Yotam Ottolenghi is coming to Queensland

While we may have been starved of events this year, 2021 is set to simulate our senses with a calendar jam-packed with tempting offerings. In event news that is sure to get tongues wagging, worldwide culinary sensation Yotam Ottolenghi has announced he will be touring Australia next year. With Yotam promising to spill some coveted cooking tips and industry stories, you can bank on this being one spicy session.

As avid foodies already know, Yotam Ottolenghi is a modern-day cooking sensation. Born in Jerusalem and currently based in London, Yotam is a trail-blazing icon of the food industry (he’s a chef-patron of famed London restaurants NOPI and ROVI, and of four Ottolenghi delis), a prolific author (he has three best-selling books), and TV personality. His culinary approach, which favours vegetarian dishes and Eastern Mediterranean cuisine, has made its way into kitchens around the world. Yotam’s new book Ottolenghi FLAVOUR, written with long-standing collaborator Ixta Belfrage, celebrates all things vegetable and shows readers how to transform normally mundane dishes into magical meals. That means no more boring mashed potatoes and side salads that get scraped into the kitchen bin.

Never one to keep the secrets of his sensational cooking to himself, Yotam will reveal his next-level approach to food when he comes to Queensland in June. An event that is sure to stimulate the senses, guests will be able to hear from the man himself about the flavours and ingredients that tickle his tastebuds and what you should be cooking up in your kitchen. Yotam will also delve into his influences and experiences in the industry, offer insights about being a restaurateur, and reveal how you can dial up your dinnertime dishes – a skill that will come in handy for those of us who took time in 2020 to work on our culinary prowess.

Yotam Ottolenghi is heading to The Star on The Gold Coast before arriving at QPAC on Monday June 14. Tickets go on sale on Monday December 21, hop over here to grab yours.
