Hop on your broom and fly to HOTA – Wicked is headed to the Gold Coast!
Flying back into the Gold Coast with an exciting new cast, Wicked is set to amaze audiences (again) when the magical production returns from Tuesday June 25 to Saturday July 6 2019 at HOTA, Home of the Arts.
Staged by renowned Australian production company Matt Ward Entertainment, this bewitching rendition of the award-winning musical production tells the beloved tale of Oz and a profound friendship between Glinda The Good Witch and Elphaba, The Wicked Witch of the West, long before Dorothy came into the picture.
The production will showcase a new talented cast including Emily Monsma, a Gold Coast local and graduate of the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, who will play Glinda, and seasoned performer Samantha Dodemaide (The Wizard of Oz), starring as Elphaba. Directed by Tim Hill (RENT, Mary Poppins, Into The Woods, FAME The Musical), with set design by Maria-Rose Payne (THOR, Aquaman, RENT), and digital design by local Gold Coast company, IKONIX, you can expect a truly spellbinding production.
