Well, that’s it for summer, folks. The calendar has officially clicked over to March (can you even believe it?) but that doesn’t mean the party has to end. Before you go and bust out the winter woolies and plan your hibernation activities, The Star Gold Coast is keeping the summer vibes alive with a stellar line-up of things to see, do and devour. From incredible acts playing live on The Lawn to drag duos, a 24-piece symphony orchestra performing some of Fleetwood Mac’s finest, half-price pizzas and towering burgers, The Star Gold Coast is the place to soak up the last of the warm-weather vibes. Here’s what’s happening this March …

Kicking off March’s jam-packed line-up of live tunes is Just a Gent on Saturday March 5. If you’re not yet familiar, you’re about to be – he sold out shows around the country and was noticed by the dub-lord himself, Skrillex, all before he could legally step foot in a club. Canadian musician Frank Walker will join the legendary Dutch DJ Sam Feldt on Saturday March 12 for a bangin’ set and on Saturday March 19, fall in love with Pirra’s seductive blend of modern pop. Round out your exceptional month of music with a dreamy show from The Kite String Tangle on Saturday March 26. As always, Live on The Lawn is free to attend but you can book a table for a pre-gig bite. Upstairs at Atrium Bar and fresh from Sydney Mardi GrasJawbreakers is bringing the glitter for one night of music and mayhem on Thursday March 24. Fire up the group chat and book a booth for this truly unmissable performance of glitz and glamour. Not to be outdone, The Theatre is dishing up a smorgasbord of entertainment starting with an Australian-first joint performance between two of Australia’s most successful classical crossover artists, Mark Vincent and Mirusia, on Saturday March 12. From March 15–19, Legends in Concert will pay tribute to some of the all-time greats including Elton John, Olivia Newton-John, Elvis, Cher and Village People, along with an incredible live orchestra. Fans of Fleetwood Mac should go ahead and mark Friday March 25 in the diary as that’s when Seven Wonders will be reliving some of the band’s greatest hits including ‘Dreams’, ‘Rhiannon’, ‘Landslide’ and ‘Go Your Own Way’. Performed by a 24-piece symphony orchestra and featuring special guest vocalists Tania Doko (Bachelor Girl), Kate DeAraugo (Young Divas) Prinnie Stevens and Mark Williams, this will be one truly magical evening. Last, but by no means least, relive the late, great Freddie Mercury with Queen – Bohemian Rhapsody on Saturday March 26.

If your idea of a weekend well spent is one that involves food, drinks and excellent company, The Star Gold Coast has you well and truly covered with an incredible array of foodie-centric experiences that have been extended into March. The Star’s celebrated Italian dining destination Cucina Vivo is slinging half-price pizzas when you dine before 6:30 pm on Wednesday and Thursday. Then, come Friday, you’re invited to usher in the weekend with Italian bites and Aperol cocktails on the terrace for Cin Cin at Cucina Vivo. The weekly sundowner sesh rolls out every Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 3:00–6:30 pm. Keen to keep on sipping and snacking? We hear you. For those with a thirst for adventure (and wine), the Rosé Your Way session on Saturdays and Sundays is right up your alley. Purchase a Rosé Passport and make your way around four of The Star’s varied venues, sipping on a glass of the blush-hued beverage accompanied by a tasting plate. The culinary adventure doesn’t end there, no siree. Skip over to Kiyomi for a Sake Flight Tasting. It’s the ideal way to kick off your night and wet your whistle before dinner, or to finish the evening on a sake-soaked high note.

Finally, footy is back! The Star Gold Coast will be the place to catch all of the NRL and AFL action live, loud and larger than life at Sports Bar. To sweeten the deal, there’s a bunch of foodie specials including the Titan Burger, T-Bone Thursday and Friday Night XXXX Gold Spin the Wheel comps to pick up some cold, hard cash. UFC fans can also catch the Colby Covington vs Jorge Masvidal beef on Saturday March 6 at 11:00 am.
