If you’re familiar with The Five Love Languages, you may already know that ‘food’ isn’t a category outlined in the best-selling self-help book. We beg to differ, however, believing that the way to many a person’s heart is through the stomach. If you’re looking for foolproof plan to impress your better half, The Star Gold Coast have got you covered with a myriad of elegant eats and genius gift ideas for Valentine’s Day.

Garden Kitchen & BarKick off proceedings on one of the most romantic evenings of the year with a glass of Moët & Chandon before indulging in a drool-worthy champagne menu designed to be shared.  The three-course shared menu features fresh and sophisticated flavours, starting with favourites like the chilled Moreton Bay bug roll before continuing on to mouthwatering mains such as the chargrilled free-range quail with baked ricotta, candied pine nuts and preserved lemon. For something sweet, indulge in the Garden Valentine’s chocolate cheesecake for dessert, which features chocolate soil, vanilla-bean ice-cream and summer berries. If you prefer to order from the top-notch a-la-carte menu you’re welcome to do so, but make sure you don’t skip trying one of the Garden Kitchen & Bar’s refreshing cocktails. You can book from 5:30 pm for $80 per person for the shared menu.

Nineteen at the Star: When you’re trying to impress, it’s important to do it properly. Never fear, as the romantic restauranteurs at Nineteen at the Star are ensuring that your Valentine’s Day is a decadent dinner experience – think Veuve Clicquot on arrival, a five-course set menu, and a luxe locale sure to impress your one-and-only. With only the best eats on offer, the exotic menu includes prawn and Oscietra caviar with potato pave, mouthwatering Appellation oysters and grilled Patagonian toothfish with toasted nori. As the wining-and-dining will be taken care of for you, all that’s left to do is sit back and gaze lovingly into your significant other’s eyes. There’s either a 5:30 pm or 8:30pm sitting to choose from for $150 per person.

Cucina Vivo: Treating the one you love on Valentine’s Day is as easy as booking a table for two at Cucina Vivo. Whether you choose their set menu or the delicious degustation on offer, both menus feature Cucina Vivo’s modern take on Italian classics which are renowned for striking the perfect balance of decadent and delicious. If you’re looking to level-up the luxury, choose to add the carefully-curated wine pairings to the degustation menu for an extra-special touch.

Azure Spa & Fitness: Looking to top off your romantic meal with the perfect gift? Treat your loved one with the present of pampering with a refreshing facial or rejuvenating massage. Or, if you want to do the cheeky trick of ‘get them something you actually want for yourself’, treat yourself too and indulge in a couples’ massage.
