Love is in the air at this decadent Valentine’s Day dinner at Carmody’s
It’s a cold hard fact that the way to a person’s heart is through their stomach, so there’s no better way to show your affection for a loved one than treating them to a fanciful feast. With Valentine’s Day on the horizon (yes, we are already nearing February), Carmody’s at Southport Sharks has decided to take the fuss out of the love fest and invite couples out of their love nest and into the restaurant for one truly romantic meal.
February 14 – a day filled with bouquets of roses, comically large teddy bears and declarations of love. It’s also one of the only calendar days in the year where it’s almost impossible to get a dinner booking. If you’re searching for a primo spot to take your special someone this Valentine’s Day, look no further than Carmody’s at Southport Sharks, which is putting on a three-course feast that is sure to get you into the good books. The intimate culinary experience will kick off with a tastebud-tantalising seafood platter filled with Aperol spritz oyster shots, Moreton Bay bug sliders, prawn cocktails topped with pink-grapefruit gin, lemongrass guacamole and sriracha mary rosé, zucchini blossoms stuffed with fresh sand crab and sesame seared tuna topped with macadamia, seaweed and ponzu dressing. Yes, that’s just the beginning!
Like all great love stories, the main affair will send your senses into overdrive. Diners have their choice of three dishes – there’s the pepita dukkah crusted salmon with harissa roasted cauliflower salad, the pork-belly prochetta with sweet-and-sour beet pickle, fennel, black garlic and maple butternut puree and the Angus beef T-bone served with port jus, campfire kipflers, balsamic onions and charred greens. To finish off on a sweet note, you and your partner can dig in to a mouth-watering shared rose garden dessert made with ruby chocolate and strawberry mousse, matcha sponge, chocolate crumb, cherry gel and watermelon gelato. Valentine’s Day wouldn’t be quite as special without a surprise gift, so every gal will receive a box of chocolates to take home, and each lad will receive a crisp glass of Peroni Leggera (because we all know a man’s true love is beer).
Sure to get Cupid’s arrow flying, Carmody’s romantic dinner package is $85 for members and $95 for guests. Spaces are strictly limited, so make sure to book yourself and your lover in. Secure your spot by calling 07 5532 1155 or by hopping over here.
