Top Dog Film Festival heads to the Gold Coast for one night only

Here at The Weekend Edition, we have two obsessions – food and dogs. We get to talk about food on the daily, which is rad – but we get oh-so excited when we get to talk about dogs as well. Now, if you share our love and affection for all things canine, then make sure you get yourself tickets to the Top Dog Film Festival at the Arts Centre Gold Coast this Monday August 21.

Dogs on the big screen – is there anything better? The Top Dog Film Festival touring Australia for the first time, and you seriously do not want to miss this. The festival will screen a two-hour cinematic celebration of all things dogs, which has been created to honour the bond between dogs and their people. The program will feature eight short canine-themed films from independent filmmakers across the globe, with inspirational, heart warming, and entertaining stories about dogs and their human companions.

The film will give audiences an insight into the world of dog-powered sports, as well as learn about the first canine sent into space, explore the bond between owners and their senior dogs, and showcase a 600-km hike through the Utah Dessert, which lasts a full dog year. Each film gives a reflection on the true meaning of unconditional love between dogs and humans. The Top Dog Film Festival is screening at The Arts Centre Gold Coast for one night only on Monday August 21 – head online to book your tickets.
