Journey through Oaxaca at Dust Temple’s wanderlust-inspiring event The Traveller’s Table

It’s no secret that we’re craving faraway lands and the feeling of adventure at the moment, and the good people at Dust Temple have come up with an event to satisfy even the most itchy-footed among us. The much-loved Currumbin haunt is bringing you The Traveller’s Table, an event that explores food and culture from global regions through the lenses of chefs, cooks, producers and sommeliers.

First up, The Traveller’s Table at Dust Temple will be taking diners on a journey through Mexico with its One Way to Oxaca event on Saturday March 13. Set to take tastebuds on a journey, the culinary creators at Clay Cantina will dish up a feast of flavour and colour inspired by the Mexican city. With so much more than just tortilla chips on offer – a common generalisation – the authentic and diverse flavours found in Oaxacan markets and villages will be served up alongside guacamole, salsa and a cocktail on arrival.

Delicaicies such as Tlayudas, found at local Oaxacan markets and described as Mexico’s version of pizza, will be dished up as diners experience a traditional family-style feast. Whether you choose to make it a date night with a difference, bring along the family for a night of festivities or a group of your best pals, an evening at The Traveller’s Table is set to be a Saturday night well spent. If you fancy a tipple, feel free to indulge in the optional drinks package which includes beer, wine and a selected festive drink for $55 per person. There will be entertainment on the evening and seats are strictly limited to 60 people. One Way to Oaxaca – The Traveller’s Table is $120 per person and bookings are essential.
