The Paddock at Hazelwood Estate and Blume Restaurant are uniting for a very special dinner event

More so than ever, the Scenic Rim is bursting at the seams with impressive dining destinations. Two such standout spots loved by culinary adventurers are The Paddock at Hazelwood Estate and Blume. These renowned eateries are teaming up to showcase their respective epicurean talents and celebrate the Scenic Rim region on Thursday October 27. Save the date for The Paddock x Blume: In the Night Garden, as this is one feast well-worth the roadtrip.

The Scenic Rim is having quite the moment. Ranking in Lonely Planet’s top ten regions in the world to visit in 2022, the area is home to many farmers, producers and restaurants including The Paddock at Hazelwood Estate and Blume Restaurant. This October, top regional chefs Simon Furley of The Paddock and Blume’s Jack Stuart will prepare a five-course dinner to remember, set on long tables amongst Hazelwood’s kitchen garden. This collaborative culinary effort will showcase sustainable, local produce from the Scenic Rim, spotlighting Kerry Valley’s Tommerup’s Dairy Farm in particular.

Taste bud-tantalising fare will be aplenty at the paddock-to-plate affair, which will see a whole Tommerup’s Dairy Farm heritage pig used nose-to-tail in unique iterations across each course. Guests will be able to tuck into the likes of Jack’s cult pork sanga dish (which will be tweaked slightly for the event) and Simon’s not-to-be-repeated, hand-rolled, pork fat-infused Choux pastry dessert. Diners won’t go thirsty either, as each course will be perfectly paired with top-notch drops from each of Australia’s renowned wine regions, as handpicked by The Paddock’s resident sommelier Luis Buchan.

Paddock x Blume: In the Night Garden tickets are $290 per person, and are inclusive of five courses with matching wines. For guests wishing to settle in for the evening, luxury overnight lodge packages are available at  Hazelwood Estate from $1,049 for two people in a King Farm Cabin, including event tickets and breakfast. Grab your tickets on the Hazelwood Estate website
