Make tracks to catch Miami’s vibrant new street-art additions at SURFACE Festival

Craving a good ol’ dose of art and culture? Luckily for you, SURFACE Festival is just around the corner. For the third year, strollers are invited to wander through the streets and discover art as artists showcase their work across a variety of surfaces.

From July 2–16, Miami comes alive as artists and creatives take to the streets for SURFACE Festival. Across two weeks, art in many forms will explode onto the footpaths, fence lines, laneways and walls around Miami and audiences are invited to walk, ride, roll and stroll through the streets to witness the magic unfold. It’s all thanks to the creative team at Miami Marketta, who work hand in hand with Miami businesses and the local community to produce the annual event.

This year’s program features ten brand-new large-scale outdoor murals at locations like Miami Marketta, Hard Fizz, Heartfill, Miami Fish Market and more. There’s also a launch party at Hard Fizz, an outdoor Fence Line Exhibition spanning residential front fences across Miami and a Sofar Sound Secret Gig in a surprise Miami location. Live tunes are aplenty with three laneway live music concerts, including James Reyne and Ella Hooper (of Australian Crawl and Killing Heidi, respectively), Pub Choir and a jam-packed closing party with Ruby Fields, Beddy Rays, The Grogans and Adam Newling.
