‘Tis the season – A Sanctuary Cove Christmas lights up the village with a fun-filled festive calendar
It’s that time of year again – A Sanctuary Cove Christmas is here to kickstart the holiday cheer! The annual festive event will see The Marine Village streets sprinkled with the magic of Christmas, gifting locals and visitors with free family-friendly entertainment, carols under the stars, Santa photos (for both humans and pets), craft workshops, dining events and more throughout December. Here’s what’s in store.
The Christmas Carnival will see Sanctuary Cove’s Marine Village burst into an all-ages wonderland from Monday December 17 until Friday December 21, with festive events held from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm each day – there will be face painting, jumping castles, roaming entertainers, ferry rides, workshops and Santa photos (pets are welcome from 12:00 pm daily, so BYO pooch). On Wednesday December 19, the village restaurants will join forces for the Cove Christmas Charity Evening, with each restaurant making donations and raising funds for a chosen charity on the night – so if you’re planning a pre-Christmas dinner catch-up with friends, this is the night to do it!
A Sanctuary Cove Christmas hits its peak on Thursday December 20 with Carols on the Green, a dreamy night under the stars with a chorus of local acts sending the sounds of Christmas throughout the village, as well as appearances from Santa and Rudolph, a golf buggy parade and a spectacular fireworks display to cap it off. Plus, during the entire month of December, the village retailers will be treating shoppers to a raft of exciting Christmas deals to help you fill those stockings with goodness.
