How great are Friday nights? There’s really no better way to welcome the weekend than with a couple of knock-off cocktails sided with some tasty snacks. Though, sometimes it’s good to spice things up and you know, really let your hair down. Enter Stingray Lounge and its new Latin-inspired Friday night session, Rumba Caliente. Prepare to get a little, uh, hot under the collar.
Things are really heating up at QT Gold Coast – and it’s not because of the change in season. The eclectic hotel’s popular Stingray Lounge is turning up the heat every Friday night with the new Rumba Caliente sessions, which are designed to kick off your weekend in the sauciest way possible. You’ll be shaking your hips as soon as you arrive, with rhythmic Latin jams pumping throughout the night. There will also be a dance teacher on hand from 7:00–8:00 pm, so you can learn the sensual art of salsa dancing from the masters.
Before you make a beeline for the dance floor, make a stop at the bar to visit Stingray’s lead mixologist Nathan Ziegler – he’ll be on deck shaking and stirring a vibrant collection of Caribbean-inspired cocktails. Think fresh mojitos, spicy coconut coladas (hello), pineapple-cinnamon caipirinhas and Cuban espresso martinis. The deliciousness doesn’t stop there – the Stingray chefs have also curated a selection of Latin-style canapes for your snacking pleasure, with everything from tasty empanadas, Cuban-inspired pizzas, flavour-packed ceviche and more. Hot tip – dress to impress.
Rumba Caliente is held at Stingray Lounge every Friday night from 7:00 pm.
