Pull up a rug at Picnic in Your Patch

Sometimes the best way to relax on a Sunday afternoon is to throw some cheese (okay a lot of cheese) in a basket and pull up a patch of grass for a picnic. Bleach* Festival’s Picnic in Your Patch events celebrate this humble past-time and will be coming to a park near you over coming weeks.

Bleach* Festival is rolling out the metaphorical tartan rug and inviting you to enjoy an afternoon of stories, sweet tunes and some fantastic entertainment this Sunday from 12:00 pm for the first Picnic in Your Patch. The picnic will take over Roughton Park in Kirra and will include an entourage of vintage caravans, bubbles as well as a crafternoon and activities for the kids. Picnic goers can also enjoy a free concert from Bobby Alu, who was widely regarded as one of Australia’s top drummers until he stepped out from behind the kit to take the microphone, as well as Zed Butel, Hayley Grace and The Reversals.

If you can’t make it to this picnic, don’t worry, there’s a second chance at Picnic in Your Patch #2 that will be held in the Hinterland Regional Park in Mudgeeraba next Saturday March 14 and even a third chance for Picnic in Your Patch #3 at The Arts Centre Gold Coast on March 22.
