The NOOSA alive! Festival reveals its stacked ten-day program

We don’t need an excuse to hit the road for a visit to the Sunshine Coast, but if you’re looking for an event to tie into your next jaunt north, pencil in a trip to coincide with the NOOSA alive! Festival. The anticipated arts and cultural event has just revealed the program for its 2024 edition, which is taking place across a number of Noosa’s stunning seaside venues from July 19–28. Comedy, music, dance – it’s all on the cards this year. Here’s what’s happening …

In 2024, the beloved NOOSA alive! Festival will celebrate its 22nd anniversary, which is a huge milestone. The team behind the long-running cultural event are pulling out all the stops this year, unveiling a program that features comedy legends, moving dance performances and a two day mini-music festival.

Queensland Ballet will be opening this year’s festival with performances of two marvellous works at The J Theatre on July 12–13 – a world premiere of Papillon (choreographed by Jack Lister) and a performance of Holberg Suite by Greg Horsman. On July 19–20, Noosa’s main beach will host Seaside Vibes, a two-day musical celebration featuring country music star Wesley Dean and synth artist and producer Luke Millions.

Award-winning stand-up comedian Tom Gleeson will be performing his brand-new show Gear on Saturday July 20 at The J Theatre, before one of Australia’s leading performing magicians Tim Ellis takes the stage for a night of illusions on Monday July 22. On Friday July 19, The 7 Sopranos take guests on a musical journey in their one-night-only performance.

Head to the NOOSA alive! Festival website to check out the full program and to buy tickets. Hurry – some shows are looking to sell out!
