Party like it’s 1977 at QT’s Boogie Nights NYE bash
We love a good New Year’s Eve bash as much as the next person – but throw a rad theme into the mix? Well, just take our money, now! QT Gold Coast knows how to put a party together, and it’s going all-out this year by sending off 2016 with a step back in time – back to 1977 to be exact, with its Boogie Nights-themed New Year’s Eve extravaganza.
Fellas, dust off the safari suits and as for the ladies – it’s time to don the hot pants and get ready for a fun night of funky disco fever. Seriously though, whether you dress up or not, this will be a hoot! QT will be transformed into a Boogie Nights theme, with its popular Stingray Lounge and Bazaar Marketplace venues offering fun-filled nights brimming with food, drinks and all ’round good vibes. It’s all based around the popular Boogie Nights film (you know, the flick set in the 1977 where a baby-faced Mark Walhberg plays an aspiring porn star), so we’re expecting to see a few Dirk Diggler and Rollergirl costumes in the mix.
We’ve got the low-down on Stingray’s special Boogie Nights-themed New Year’s Eve menu too – and it’s awesome. There will be foot-long hotdogs (oh, the irony) affectionately named The Dirk that come with all the trimmings, plus some old-school cool with classic prawn cocktails, retro vol au vents with creamy chicken, mushrooms and chives, and hot and spicy stuffed roasted peppers. We know what you’re thinking – what could a Boogie Nights-themed dessert be? Well, it’s ‘white lines’ of decadent chocolate and coconut crumble (intriguing, right?) and here’s the real banger – there will be espresso martini soft serves. Yes – espresso martini soft serves. What a time to be alive. So, option one is to enjoy one final indulgent feast for the year at Bazaar’s interactive foodie haven then kick-on downstairs, with entry into Stingray’s party included. Or, if you like the sound of foot-longs and cocktails, you can go with option two and party from start to finish at Stingray. Whichever way you’re swinging, this will be a New Year’s Eve like no other. Jump over here to book.
