Dog lovers, assemble – Miami Barketta hits the coast for a day of puppy love
It’s no secret that many of us treat our fur babies like real babies, and this month Miami Marketta and Paws at the Park will be making our puppy dreams come true. Ever since Paws at the Park held the Gold Coast’s first dog markets in 2016, they have been killing the game when it comes to spoiling our doggos. On Sunday April 28, you can check out their very first ‘Paws at the Park presents’ event, aptly named Miami Barketta.
First things first – this is a human-only event! The idea here is for dog owners to have a day out with other puppy lovers, get creative in workshops and spoil their doggos at the market stalls. There will be paint and sip sessions where you can paint a portrait of your dog (while sipping wine), macrame workshops to make your own lead, and do-it-yourself classes to make your own snuffle mat and plenty more hands-on action.
That’s right, this is essentially one massive doggo-inspired creative Sunday sesh, and it will all be complete doggie market stalls, live music and Marketta food and drinks! Not only is this the perfect Sunday session for fur-parents, it also helps a great cause, with all profits from classes going to Animal Welfare League Queensland. Entry to the market is free, but classes must be booked online in advance. So, what are you waiting for? Head on down to Miami Barketta for an afternoon of puppy appreciation! Reminder to leave your pup at home – they needn’t fret as you’ll be returning with plenty of goodies.
