Summer sessions just got a whole lot better with this free party

If you haven’t already discovered the weekly party that is the Live on The Lawn sessions at Garden Kitchen & Bar, you’re missing out. We’re talking pumping dance floors, delicious bites, refreshing sips and – the best part, if you ask us – it’s free!

We think it’s safe to say that as summer rolls around, everyone is itching for a party. Well, this season of Live on The Lawn is bigger and better than ever, featuring the deliciously refreshing White Claw Watermelon – it’s a match made in party heaven. The outdoor session is on every weekend, from the ultimate RNB Friday party, to the Saturday night headliners and Sunday sunset sessions.

Weekends are guaranteed to kick off on a high note (while you get low) at the reinvigorated RNB Fridays Club. From 5:00 pm every week, you’ll be dancing the night away under the stars at Garden Kitchen & Bar, thanks to the old-school tunes from Vybez. If, like Jagged Edge, you’re wondering where the party at, we can tell you it’s here. Plus, the vibes will be turned up a notch when DJ Helena Ellis hits the decks on December 17 and Yo! Mafia takes over on January 7.

The fun doesn’t end on Fridays – brace yourselves for this Saturday headline line-up! DZ Deathrays kick things off with a DJ set on December 18, before a monumental New Year’s Eve set from Jordan Burns and Dirty South. On January 8, Jesse Bloch will take over, before a show-stopping appearance from George Maple – LA LUNA – teamed with Nicole Millar on January 15 for a post-Magic-Millions party. The Lawn will then host Kid Kenobi on January 22, Teddy Cream on January 29 and Kult Kyss on February 5. Rounding out the summer season, you can catch a DJ set from K.I.M. of The Presets on February 12, followed by Lowdown on February 26. Phew! It’s a lot to take in.

While the Friday and Saturday parties are undeniably a good time, those in favour of a cruisy sunset session before getting back to the Monday grind can head down on a Sunday afternoon to check out McKenzie Band. The local legends pump out all of our favourites, from old classics to modern-day anthems, while bringing the good vibes in spades. McKenzie Band will be at Live on The Lawn every Sunday from 4:00pm.

As if all of that wasn’t enough to get you a little hot under the collar, these sizzling summer sessions are bolstered by delicious eats and fresh cocktails from the Container Kitchen – think fried chicken sandos, loaded Garden fries, grilled eggplant tacos and more. Picnic table bookings are available if you want to bring the whole crew and there’s free parking on site if you’re hitting the mocktails. Plus did we mention entry is free?! To check out the full line-up and details, head to The Star Gold Coast’s website.
