Devour duck buns, doughnuts and French-toast stouts at the Labart x Stone & Wood beer feast

Fresh off the back of its Gin Pig Dinner in May, its Brookie’s seafood feast in June and its first-birthday bash in July, the team at Burleigh’s Restaurant Labart are back with another unmissable event – this time, they have joined forces with the fine folk from Stone & Wood for a one-night-only beer dinner.

The Labart X Stone & Wood Beer Dinner will be held on Wednesday August 21, giving diners an exclusive opportunity to experience limited-release Stone & Wood beers matched with a one-off set menu featuring never-before-seen Labart dishes. Stone & Wood’s Sam Martin will be on hand to step you through the sips, while chef Alex Munoz Labart and the team will delight with an intriguing five-course menu of dishes shaped around the Byron Bay brewery’s best creations.

You’ll start with pork-belly skewers with watermelon hot sauce (paired with Stone & Wood’s soon-to-be-released The Gatherer beer), before moving onto beer-battered broccolini with grapefruit salsa and oyster cream, paired with the limited-edition Oyster Witbier. Course three is fried-chicken pieces with a Green Coast Lager, followed by oak-smoked duck buns with a sour-cherry sauce, paired with a Cherry Oak Sour (which is normally only available at Stone & Wood’s tasting room). You’ll finish on a high note with cinnamon ice-cream, warm doughnuts and a toasted-stout glaze while sipping Stone & Wood’s new French toast stout. That menu. Those beers. You do not want to miss this.

The Labart X Stone & Wood Beer Dinner kicks off at 6:30 pm on Wednesday August 21. Tickets are $100 per head (including food and beers) and go on sale from Thursday August 8. Head to the Labart website to secure your spot.
