Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain Ironman Series comes to Surfers Paradise
This weekend, Surfers Paradise beach will host some of the country’s leading ironmen and women as the Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain Ironman Series returns.
Let’s take a moment to appreciate how gruelling a 40–50 minute circuit involving swimming, board paddling and ski paddling with some sprints thrown in for good measure would be. That’s the challenge facing the athletes this weekend as part of round three and four of the iconic Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain Ironman Series.
Venture down to Surfers Paradise beach this weekend for rounds three and four and watch the nation’s best 15 ironmen and ironwomen battle it out for surf and sand supremacy across four disciplines; swim, run, board, and ski. Competitors will compete in two formats at the Surfers Paradise race days, the Loop and the Eliminator. The Eliminator is the ultimate game of ironman chess, where tactics and street smarts can play a big a part in your result as you power on the ski or speed across the sand.
