Be inspired by the Josephine Ulrick and Win Schubert Photography Award

Considered one of the most important annual surveys of contemporary photographic practice in Australia, the Josephine Ulrick and Win Schubert Photography Award for 2016 will be announced at the exhibition launch at Gold Coast City Gallery on Saturday June 25.

Showcasing established photographers alongside emerging ones, the Josephine Ulrick and Win Schubert Photography Award exhibition examines diverse themes and approaches, making for one incredibly unique collection. This year, the esteemed award has been presided over by Professor Susan Best, Program Convenor of Fine Art and Art Theory at Griffith University’s Queensland College of Art.

As a special treat, prior to the announcement of this year’s winner, last year’s winner Owen Leong will return to the Gold Coast to give a special public presentation. Owen’s presentation kicks off from 4:00–5:00 pm and the official launch and winner announcement commences from 5:00 pm. All of the finalists for the Josephine Ulrick and Win Schubert Photography Award will be on display at Gold Coast City Gallery from June 25 to August 21.
