Punk rock and action sport combine at the Gold Coast’s new Inverted Festival

One thing our social calendars didn’t get enough of in 2020 was the good old-fashioned festival. Thankfully, for the music and action-sport lovers among us, Inverted Festival is answering our calls for some live music with a brand-new all-ages extravaganza.

Combining two huge events into one massive day, all-ages Inverted Festival is set to take over Metricon Stadium on Saturday May 1, 2021. With a line-up full of familiar faces and some new talent taking the stage, plus being one of the first standing music festivals since lockdown, Inverted Festival is set to be a sure-fire hit. Crowd favourites Skegss and Spiderbait have been locked in for the day, together with The Chats, Trophy Eyes, Waax, Stand Atlantic and Fangz.

Not content with just delivering top-notch punk and pub rock, the good folks behind Inverted Festival will also be bringing the excitement with an array of athletes. After an extended break due to COVID restrictions, we hear that some of Australia’s most daring contenders cannot wait to compete in the festival’s Street Skate, BMX Park, BMX Big Air and Freestyle Motocross competitions.

Perfect for adults and teens alike, the all-ages event is designed to ensure that exciting entertainment is available for both locals and visitors to the Gold Coast. As one of the first action-sports festivals of its kind in Australia , Inverted is expected to attract more than 20,000 people on the day.

Inverted Festival early-bird tickets are priced from $99 are on sale now through Ticketek. For more information, head to our Event Guide.
