Rave while reducing your climate footprint – eco-friendly fest Greener Pastures unveils an all-Aussie line-up

As our country continues to face a catastrophic climate change crisis, offsetting carbon emissions from our lifestyle is now at the forefront of many people’s minds. Enter the Gold Coast’s newest music festival – Greener Pastures – an event working hard to reduce its overall carbon footprint, whilst also delivering on great tunes and good vibes.

Held at Doug Jennings Park in Main Beach (former dancing ground for Summafieldayze) on Sunday May 3, Greener Pastures is the newest venture from the team behind The Grass Is Greener. The huge line-up includes a homegrown list of seminal and emerging performers including Hilltop Hoods, Dune Rats, Golden Features, Chillinit, Luude, Wafia, Adrian Eagle, Clypso, Taleena and Ëmmë.

With a goal to become to become one of the most sustainable Queensland festivals going, Greener Pastures has banned the use of plastic throughout the entire festival, introduced a recycling system and are heavily encouraging the use of reusable water bottles. The festival will also do its bit to raise funds for the bushfire relief and will generously match any donation made on ticketing partner Eventbrite’s website $1 for $1 (up to $50,000) to the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. In addition, a $20 donation will be compulsory for all complimentary ticket holders. Want to know more? Stay tuned, tickets will go on sale very soon. Sign up for pre-sale here.
