The Grass is Greener as the coast scores a new star-studded music festival

Music lovers, get ready – there’s a brand-new festival coming to town. The Grass is Greener, a cult-favourite festival in Cairns, is expanding south with organisers announcing the famed music event will be heading south to the Gold Coast this October. The festival is bringing its biggest line-up yet to our shores – and it starts with American rapper Tyga.

Tyga will headline an insane bill of talent at The Grass is Greener, with the likes of Hermitude and Peking Duk set to join the famed rapper on Saturday October 19. The world-class festival, which will take over the Broadwater Parklands in Southport, will also feature performances from homegrown talents like Amy Shark, The Veronicas, Golden Features and more to-be-announced names.

That’s right – all of these names will be descending on our sunny shores for the ultimate waterfront music festival. Pre-sale tickets to the Gold Coast edition of The Grass is Greener start at $99 – and by looking at that line-up, it’s best to get in early. You can register for the pre-sale tickets here.
