Score $50 off Gold Coast attractions and tours this summer – and help boost storm-affected businesses
Southeast Queensland residents can save $50 off a huge range of Gold Coast attractions, tours and experiences this summer, as part of a major tourism push to support storm-ravaged tourism businesses and operators in the wake of wild weather during the festive season. Keen for a summer surf lesson, a jet-boating adventure, or perhaps a trip to the theme parks? Now’s the time to do it! Here’s what you need to know.
The $2.5-million Gold Coast Summer FUNds program is a Queensland State Government initiative that is offering Southeast Queensland residents a one-off $50 voucher code to use at a number of participating tours, attractions and experiences across the Gold Coast. The only catch is that the purchase needs to be $100 or more. There’s a huge range of activities to choose from – everything from jet skiing and snorkelling tours, to go-karting, dinner cruises, winery tours, surfing lessons, parasailing, theme-park passes and a whole heap more.
All you need to do is go to the Gold Coast Summer FUNds website and choose a valid activity, tour or experience, and when you get to the checkout, just punch in the promo code GSCUMMERFUNDS and $50 will be deducted from your transaction. Then, well, you can go and have some Gold Coast summer fun!
There are 50,000 of the $50 voucher codes up for grabs, with one available per resident. The vouchers can be redeemed online using the code until Friday March 29 (or until the 50,000-voucher allocation is exhausted). The program is open exclusively residents in Southeast Queensland LGAs, which means residents of Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba, Ipswich and the surrounds can get in on the action – and help stimulate the Gold Coast’s tourism economy after a less-than-ideal festive season.
