Step back in time at the Gold Coast Renaissance Faire

Step back in time at the Gold Coast Renaissance Faire

Partake in some revelry and embrace the simplicity of times long past as Broadbeach is transformed into an authentic medieval faire.

This weekend, May 2 and 3, Pratten Park will host a faire for the ages – an occasion so grand it will be etched into the history books for future generations to marvel. Pardon the grandiose prose, but the Gold Coast Renaissance Faire is heading to town, re-imagining a 16th century country fair and offering all of the joy and merriment one would expect to find if they travelled back a few centuries. The faire is described as a living theatre experience that thrives on audience participation.

Attendees are encouraged to dress up in costume and head to Broadbeach from 9:30 am. Authentic entertainment, art, games and food will be on offer, with plenty of activities for the whole family. Three stages throughout the festival will host plays, dance and music of the period and special arenas will showcase archery and sword fighting. Ticket packages are available for families and two day passes for individuals.
