UberEATS picnics and long-table cheese lunches … tastes just like the Gold Coast Food and Wine Festival!
When the 2017 Gold Coast Food and Wine Festival rolls into town on June 2–4, you’d better be ready. A huge line-up of more than 30 different and totally delicious events has just been announced for the three-day festival, from hand-delivered picnics to fancy degustations spanning all corners of the Gold Coast.
The jam-packed program will see foodie events roll out from as far north as Beenleigh, all the way down to Coolangatta. The Gold Coast Food and Wine Festival will officially launch on Thursday June 1 at QT Gold Coast, with a ticketed event featuring a symposium on the transformation of the Gold Coast food scene. Key events include Burleigh Brewing Co.‘s Local Flavour on Friday June 2, which will be an incredible showcase of craft-beer goodness alongside a bunch of food trucks and live musicians. Barbecue & Beats will take over NightQuarter on Saturday June 3, with Australia’s leading barbecue teams going all-out in a head-to-head cook-up creating a slow-cooked feast – if you like it ‘low and slow’, then this is a must-see (and taste) event.
Lionel Perry Park in Surfers Paradise will transform into a food, wine and music gathering called Picnic in the Park on Sunday June 4. This ain’t no ordinary picnic, because UberEATS is on board! The idea of this one is to take your picnic blanket, enjoy a bottle of wine, while listening to live music as you dine alfresco-style with feasts from local Surfers Paradise restaurants, all hand-delivered by UberEATS. The festival also heads up to Mount Tamborine for a tasty collaboration between Witches Chase cheese, Long Road Bistro, Fortitude Brewery and Heritage Wines called The Long Table. Held every day during the festival, the event will see foodies set down to a long table overlooking the cheese factory for a delicious spread matched with wines and craft-beer. Friends, this is just the tip of the iceberg – jump online to check out the full program, and we’ll keep you posted on the festival closer to the date.
