Miami Marketta launches Food Truck’n Thursdays to throw more grub and gigs your way

If Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays weren’t enough to sate your appetite for live music and street food, the launch of a brand-spanking-new Thursday night event will surely do the trick.

Those laneway-dining wizards at Miami Marketta have conjured up a slick new trick to get us off our couches and out of our houses mid-week. The exciting arrival of Food Truck’n Thursdays gives us a whole new opportunity to soak up the buzz of the precinct and sample international cuisine while supporting small local businesses. The new Thursday night event will feature different food trucks each week, so keep an eye on Miami Marketta’s Facebook and Instagram pages to stay up to date on the line-up. This week you can expect offerings from Notorious E A T food truck, Cycho’s Buffalo WingsFry-Yay Food Truck and Bruce The Food Truck, which will be launching its new, made-to-order cronuts. Visitors will also be able to enjoy a tipple inside The Gin Parlour, which is typically booked out on other Marketta evenings.

Live music will accompany your feast, with gigs booked every Thursday until Christmas. This week, indigenous hip-hop MC JK-47 will perform an early show (sold out) and late show, next Thursday November 19 Jeff Martin will cover the songs of Led Zeppelin, on November 26 singer-songwriter Kyle Lionhart will perform both an early show and a late show, and on December 10 the legendary Steve Kilbey will perform four iconic The Church albums acoustically, split over two seatings. Food Truck’n Thursdays will be happening every Thursday from 5:00 pm during Miami Marketta’s busy period. Find more information about this Thursday’s event here.
