Relive the excitement of drive-in cinemas at Flicks in the Field
Forget snuggling up on the couch for a solid Netflix session, Flicks in the Field invites you to relive the excitement of bundling into the car with blankets and pillows and heading to the local drive-in. The nostalgic event is taking over the Bangalow Showgrounds this weekend.
A group of Bangalow locals is bringing back the old-school drive-in cinema with Flicks in the Field. The pop-up event dishes up a double helping of fun with Family Night on Friday April 22 screening Oddball and The Castle followed by Double Trouble on Saturday with The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert and Mad Max: Fury Road.
And because no movie experience is complete without it, there will be popcorn and ice-cream available alongside some local food vendors including the Veggie Patch Van, the Stockpot Kitchen and the BexMex food truck. Tickets are $40 per car and can be pre-purchased online through the Flicks in the Field website. Walk-in tickets are also available and can be purchased at the gate on the night or pre-purchased at Bangalow’s Windhorse Gallery.
