Be awed by David Lynch’s Master Class at The Arts Centre Gold Coast
Coveted tickets to the David Lynch: Between Two Worlds exhibition at QAGOMA in Brisbane are fetching princely sums but you can see a live screening of his Master Class for free this Saturday at The Arts Centre Gold Coast.
David Lynch: Between Two Worlds offers a rare opportunity to explore David Lynch’s creative vision and the relationships between his practice as an artist, filmmaker and musician. The exhibition, exclusive to QAGOMA, features more than 200 works that are organised around three core ideas – man and machine, the extra-ordinary and psychic aches.
As part of the exhibition, QAGOMA is hosting a special event that will be live-streamed to selected venues around Queensland including The Arts Centre Gold Coast. The event will be a candid conversation between the exhibition’s curator, José Da Silva, Senior Curator and Head of Australian Cinemateque, and will touch on David’s approaches to painting, photography and printmaking. The creative genius is also anticipated to offer practical advice in terms of fostering creativity and working in the studio. The David Lynch Master Class will be streamed from 11:00 am at the Paradise Showroom in The Arts Centre Gold Coast.
