Get ready to rock ‘n’ roll as the much-loved Cooly Rocks On festival returns this year
It’s a local favourite for a reason, and the biggest nostalgia and rock ‘n’ roll festival in the country draws massive home crowds and visitors alike – Cooly Rocks On’s line-up has now been released and promises to light up the southern suburb with good vibes, great music and a festival to remember.
Our craving for live music is bigger than ever after a lack of live tunes last year and luckily the time is approaching when the streets of Coolangatta will be abuzz with vintage vibes, rockin’ music and a whole lot of happiness. The free (yes, you read that right!) festival celebrates the 50s, 60s and 70s eras along with culture, cars and dancing the night away. The jam-packed lineup has now been announced for the 2021 Cooly Rocks On Festival and includes some of the best rockabilly, swing and rock ‘n’ roll.
Artists from across Australia (and even New Zealand) will be travelling to the coast for the festival which is expected to see a top-notch turnout from Gold Coasters and tourists hoping to catch the talent. The lineup includes Pat Capocci, BOOM! BOOM! DELUXE, Lucky Seven, The Lincolns, Shellet Minson and The Detonators. With plenty of good times to be had by all, Cooly Rocks On will not only draw unmissable artists but also events like The Harvest Moon Swing Ball, Miss Rockabilly, Shannons Show ‘N’ Shine and a new arrival, the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest. From June 9–13, the free festival will be in full swing and we recommend heading down to check it out!
