Cooly Rocks On week two must-do highlights
With so many amazing things to see and do, it was impossible to cram it all into one little event news piece so here it is, Cooly Rocks On 2016 week two highlights.
After a slightly wet start to Cooly Rocks On 2016, the sun is shining and things are full steam ahead for a rockin’ weekend of classic cars, live music and fabulous fifty’s fashion. This Friday June 10, the carpark at Seagulls will be converted into a makeshift drive-in movie that will be screening the cult classic Grease. Saturday June 11 will be a great day for car lovers with 1300 vintage and classic automobiles lining the streets ahead of the annual Sharp Motor Group Cooly Rocks On Street Parade. The ever-popular Miss Cooly Rocks On glamour pageant will be crowned at Hotel Komune Beach Club and Grubfest 2016 will be cranking out some sweet tunes and tasty eats over at Eddie’s Grub House.
The Marquee will be swingin’ on Sunday June 12 with sets from A Band Called Twang, Buddy Love and the Tremors and Little Billy and there will be over 140 retro market stalls and 100 craft stalls to browse at leisure. Dog lovers will congregate by the thousands for the crowd-favourite Poodle Oodle Parade (not just for poodles) and the 2016 Dance Championships will go down at the Tweed Heads Civic Centre.
