It’s starting to feel a lot like summer here on the Gold Coast and we’ve got to admit, we’re not mad about it. The sun lingers a little longer, setting the scene for beautiful balmy afternoons that drift effortlessly into enchanted evenings. One of our favourite ways to make the most of this glorious time of year is to step outside and sip cocktails under the stars. Thankfully for us, Garden Kitchen & Bar has your end of year sorted with a hot-as-heck line-up of entertainment for its Chandon Garden Spritz activation, which runs through to December 12.

If you’re familiar with Garden Kitchen & Bar’s much-loved Live on The Lawn sessions, you’ll know the deal. If not, let us enlighten you. Picture a free (yep, free!) afternoon session that rolls on well into the evening, that features sublime sips, plenty of dancing, excellent eats and delivers an unmissable party every single weekend. The Chandon Garden Spritz Live on The Lawn series will feature the beloved drop – of course – alongside a cheeky new cocktail collection to keep you well watered for your evening under the stars, while the perfect-for-sharing bites from Container Kitchen are the ideal accompaniment to keep you fuelled.

The best way to truly make the most of this glorious time of year is to park yourself on a picnic bench under the stars and sip chilled cocktails with your crew. Luckily for us, there’s something on every weekend allowing us to do just that. To kick off the weekend, a brand-new RnB Fridays session has been added to the line-up and will be running from 5:00 pm every Friday night. It’s the ultimate way to celebrate the end of the week – golden sunsets, dancing to old-school bangers and drool-worthy drinks.

Every Saturday sees some cracking electro and house acts take to the decks. For those looking to be the hero of the group chat, keep an eye out for the headliners each weekend. Expect top-notch acts like dance producer Krunk on Saturday October 30, getting on the beers with Mashd n Kutcher on November 6, lords of mash-up Bonka on November 27 and electro-house spinner Jacknife on December 4. Plus, you can nab your very own picnic table so you and your mates aren’t searching for a spot – pre-book to secure one of the best seats in the house. To wind down your weekend, catch McKenzie Band every Sunday from 4:00–7:00 pm for the ultimate sunset session.

There are more than a few special events running on The Lawn this season, with an unmissable appearance from James Blundell Duo live and free from 2:00 pm on Sunday November 14. The iconic Australian icon will appear for a one-off performance with his son Briar for a very special set as part of the Groundwater Country Music Festival. For those fond of a flutter – or even just the party – check out the Melbourne Cup after-party that will feature legends like Kye Grant, Brooke Evers and the Stafford Brothers.

Finally, Fizzing @ Garden Kitchen & Bar promises to be an absolute banger of a party. Iconic Gold Coast seltzer slingers Hard Fizz will be serving up frosty thirst-quenchers alongside bites from the Container Kitchen, while Chunky N Carter take to the decks to really kick it up a notch. This one will run from 4:00 pm on Sunday November 7, but we recommend getting in early – as always, this is a free event and we have no doubt it will be one of the hottest Sunday sessions on the coast.
