Oui Oui! Bonjour French Festival descends on the Gold Coast
Gold Coast, get set for an abundance of striped t-shirts, baguettes, beret hats and croissants – the Bonjour French Festival is back! Le festival, which celebrates all of the tastes and fabulous culture of France, will land in Pratten Park in Broadbeach from November 10–11. Friends, you do not want to miss this.
French culture is just about as rich as its food, so you can expect this festival to be diverse and delicious at the same time. The two-day and two-night festival will feature a vibrant series of activations celebrating French cuisine, arts, history, music and sport. Treat your eyes to sexy Moulin Rouge-style dancing, live music and opera performances throughout the weekend – and be sure to wear your beret (or buy one at the festival), because the organisers are aiming to break the Guinness World Record for the most amount of people wearing a beret in French atmosphere. Cool, eh?
Foodies are set for a real treat, with the French market featuring a series of food stalls oozing with mind-blowing dishes from beef bourguignon to crepes and all of the cheeses. If you really feel like living on the edge, then take part in the snails and choux eating competition (yes, snails) … we’re certain a little escargot will get you in the mood for some French fun. Entry into Bonjour French Festival is just $5 – be organised and buy your tickets online over here.
