Bleach* Festival, which has been cemented as one of the most distinctive events on the city’s arts calendar, will this year explore the relationship between sport and art, and how they share strength, passion, power, risk, grace, endurance and beauty. The widely anticipated program is expected to be highly physical and visual, with more than 20 of the Gold Coast’s most spectacular public spaces to be transformed with music, circus, theatre, dance, cabaret, installations and spectacles like we’ve never seen before.

Expect to see places like the Currumbin beachfront to skate parks, art galleries, locker rooms and pristine foreshores along the city’s coastline come to life, as some of the biggest names in Australian art and culture descend on the city from March 30 to April 16. Saltwater Sessions featuring the likes of Angus Stone and Ash Grunwald will kick off the opening weekend, alongside the world premiere of Frank Enstein at the Arts Centre Gold Coast. For the very first time, the city is hosting its own spiegeltent spectacular with Strut and Fret’s international hit burlesque show Blanc de Blanc taking residence in Broadbeach for a massive 23 performances.
