Excitement overload – Ben & Jerry’s Openair Cinema is here! For four glorious ice-cream-filled weeks, the Gold Coast will be treated to music by dusk and movies by night on the beachfront in Broadbeach. The event sees Kurrawa Park transformed into alfresco cinema experience with friendly festival vibes.

Time to unsubscribe from Netlfix for the next month – the Ben & Jerry’s Openair Cinema will have you covered. From October 6 until November 6, you can sink into a beanbag as the sun sets with a frosty beverage and catch a flick under the stars on the beachfront at Kurrawa Park. The month-long event begins today with a screening of Nerve, followed by Bad Moms on Friday october 7 and Kubo and the Two Strings on Saturday October 8. The the jam-packed program of movies offers an assortment of the latest and greatest new releases and the best cult favourites spanning across genres. Also on offer are screenings of Bridget Jones’s Baby, The Secret Life of Pets and Snowden.

This year will see the return of Ben & Jerry’s famous Sundae Sessions where you can cool down with free scoops of Ben & Jerry’s ice-cream and live sets from some of Brisbane and the Gold Coast’s most talented music makers including Kenny Slide, Benny D Williams, Juzzie Smith and Eli Dooner. The Ben & Jerry’s Openair Cinema is open from Wednesday to Sunday throughout the season but you had better book your tickets early as they’ve been known to get snapped up quicker than free ice-cream on a hot day.
