Don’t try this at home – the Australian Street Entertainment Carnival to light up Surfers Paradise
Surfers Paradise is pulling out all the stops for the long weekend, with knife jugglers, outrageous acrobatics and energetic dance performances set to fill the precinct from April 19–22 for the Australian Street Entertainment Carnival. Surfers as you know it will be transformed into a festival of performance, laughter and entertainment sure to put a smile on everyone’s dial.
The precinct will come alive daily from 12:30–9:00 pm across the long weekend, with performances taking place on the main pitch in Cavill Mall and on the Surfers Paradise beachfront. This year’s key acts include incredible acrobatics from Floor Legendz, tricks and jokes from Gold Coast professional clown (what a job!) Rhett Morrow, and death-defying stunts from daredevil stuntman Joel Fenton – an unmissable entertainer who will have you holding your breath as he plays with fire and juggles everything from chainsaws to knives.
The Australian Street Entertainment Carnival attracts performers of all ages and skill levels, from local entertainers to professional performers and industry newcomers. There really is something for everyone at this year’s event, from classic street-side comedy right through to talented dancers, live musicians, mind-blowing stunts and acrobatics, all presented with the iconic Surfers Paradise coastline as the backdrop.
