Experience bargain hunting with a twist at the Ashmore Rotary Car Boot Market

While it’s common knowledge that you should never accept goods being sold from the back of a van, the humble car boot has become one the focal point of a new kind of market rummage.

There is a market trend that is setting itself apart from your run-of-the-mill farmer’s market variety. The humble car boot is not only just a place for storing luggage, it can also the best place to sell unwanted belongings from. The car boot sale craze has swept the Gold Coast, with dozens of spaces being activated for early morning rummaging every weekend.

The Ashmore Rotary Club are hosting the first car boot sale of the year on Sunday January 25 from 4:00 am at the Ashmore City Shopping Centre. Find anything from clothing to vintage goods at bargain basement prices or register and bring along your own goods to sell. Setting up a stall will cost $15, but make sure you get in early as the car park will be full by 4:00 am sharp.

This car boot market helps raise funds for community projects, and takes place on the fourth Sunday of every month. Car boot sales are a great place to pick up some interesting items, so if you don’t mind the early start, join in on the car boot craze and head to Ashmore this Sunday.
